Co-operative Membership, North Region, are proud to support Peacejam. Co-operatives all over the world are based on the values of self-help, self-responsibility, democracy, equality, equity and solidarity. In the tradition of their founders, co-operative members believe in the ethical values of honesty, openness, social responsibility and caring for others. These are values we share with organisers and participants involved in Peacejam.

The relationship between The Co-operative Membership, North Region and Peacejam in Bradford started in late 2009 and we wish to continue this in 2010, supporting the Peacejam and regional Peaceslam. We hope our offer doesn't stop there but that the schools and projects involved in local Peacejam events can utilise our expertise in imaginative ways. You could look at the way Co-operative Financial Services choose to make ethical investments, investigate our campaigns including highlighting the impact of a decline in bees across Great Britain or help us to promote Fairtrade in Fairtrade Fortnight.
It is when we, as individuals, communities and businesses, make conscious decisions, to act and implement change in how we live and operate, that we can, as we say, be "Good for Everyone." Co-operative Membership in the North Region welcome the opportunity through the Peacejam to inspire and be inspired by young people, to make active changes which have a postive impact within local communities and for communities around the world.
