Service Projects

PeaceJammer working on service project

Part of the essence of PeaceJam is to demonstrate the importance of getting involved in service to the community through hands-on volunteering work. We are looking for community service projects aimed at secondary school-age young people.

This is a great opportunity for your organization to tell young people about the work you do and to give them a taster. Please include a learning component so that they feel they have learnt something as well as contributed something.

You provide the supplies and we will provide the labour!

We will have over 250 young people on campus, so we anticipate getting them involved in a variety of service/voluntary activities, from advocacy work (e.g. writing a letter to their MP about an issue) to getting their hands literally as well as metaphorically dirty (e.g. community clean-up etc). We will assist with any risk assessment needed.
